Now a days DSLR became a very popular for the casual and homely use. Before 3-4 years the DSLR camera is used only by the professional and for studio purpose. The price for the camera is also not that much affordable by the normal people. The rich people also not ready to buy the camera because they are not much aware about the camera before. They thought that its only for professionals and they used to buy the small compact or bridge camera.
But now the story changed. Normal people is now ready to buy the DSLR camera. They are more interested in the processional camera for the casual use also. Two main things made this change. One is the price drop of this kind of camera and the other is that they think that a DSLR is the part of the society status.
Mostly this kind of casual users choose the camera like Nikon D3100,D3200,D5100,D5200, D7000 or the latest D7100. And also they choose Canon 1100D,550D,600D,650D or the latest 700D. Once the Nikon D90 and the Canon 550D was the most popular.
For the people who really wants to buy a basic , DSLR some peoplewill not have a brand of model with them.They just go to a showroom and will get a DSLR sujjested by the shop owner or a branf merchandiser. But someone will really go through the Internet and research about current models abd features. For basic choice I will sujjest you to buy the Nikon D3100 better that Canon 1100D. Specs wise and clarity wise Nikon D3100 stay a step forward. The price is almost same. Nikon D3100 cost just 2199 Dirhams in the UAE market with a 18-55VR Lens. And for the kit with Non-VR is only for the price of 1999 Dirhams. And for the Canon 1100D the price is only 1999 Dirhams for the kit of 18-55mm lens.
Someone like Canon brand and some one likes Nikon brand. As per my sujjesion dont look for the brand name. Just pay for the features and quality. As per the experts opinion Nikon gives a natural picrure while the Canon produces a brightened picture.
